RF Design Engineer

Tier 1 Automotive Supplier in Novi, MI is searching for an RF Design Engineer. 

Experienced RF Design Engineer will be responsible for:

• Antennae receiving element and LNA circuit board design for automotive antenna applications
• AM/FM, SDARS, GPS, GSM, CDMA, RF keyless entry, TV, UHF and other frequencies used in automotive applications
• Design and development of products to meet existing customer requirements
• Development of new innovative products for future automotive applications

Mandatory Skills/Requirements:

• At least 5 years of direct experience is required in designing the receiving elements of high-frequency automotive antennas (frequencies above 1 GHz)
• BS in electrical engineering or closely related field
• Experience with SDARS and/or GPS patch antenna design
• Experience designing GSM and/or CDMA antenna elements
• Experience with development of AM/FM antenna products and roof-mounted antenna products for automotive applications
• Significant experience with low-noise amplifier (LNA) design for automotive applications
• Experience with field testing of automotive antennas
• Proven ability to interact with customers and design to their requirements

Desired Skills:

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, with specific application to antenna theory and development
• Successful candidates will be self-motivated, with ability to work independently  with minimal direction
• The ability to function as a “peer leader” on a small, focused RF engineering team
